Sorry if that didn't come across right. As I say, the way it played out was definitely ok, but it sounds like I was giving off hints I didn't mean to. I thought the amount of discussion you had was about the right amount for before a combat situation slightly new to you, but I reckoned you'd reached the point where you'd talked through most of the relevant options and more discussion probably wouldn't help more. But I didn't intend to push you into a straight charge, even though that fit the session perfectly well.
(FWIW, I think this didn't come up *this* session, but if something seems like it should be possible but I as GM seem to be saying it isn't, it's definitely encouraged to call that out specifically, "the mechanics mean I can't really do this but it's such an obvious thing to be able to do, can I or not" or "I think I should be able to do this but you seem to be saying it would be suicide, how come". Obviously I try to make it clear what's possible and and what's not, but I will *sometimes* mess up and forget something, and may be able to fix it if I realise in time.)
