Hm. I'm still not sure about writing `2.` but if you have to use floats then I think I came around to preferring to write `2.0` over writing `2`.

It's particularly awkward when you're talking about float literals in text and need to end a sentence with 2..

I think I would prefer 2.0 for having less ambiguity than simply 2. Especially if talking about floating-point arithmetic.
