It is worth providing a means of accessing your data in the event of your unexpected demise. just as with wills, we don't like to think of such things, but I have a friend whose husband died and she would have found life much easier had she been able to access some of his stuff. It was on their ToDo list but they never quite got around to it.

The way I've seen it done in the work environment is that the sysadmin writes the master password on a bit of paper, places it in a sealed envelope and then signs the envelope across the folding flap so that it is really obvious if someone's opened it. That envelope is then placed in a safe or other secure place. Should there be a need for it, the password can be retrieved and the sysadmin can then change it after the event and put a new envelope in the safe.

You might not need to be quite so secure, but a sealed envelope lets you know your bank and other stuff can be accessed should it really be necessary.
If you don't have an account you can create one now.
