For the record, from what I remember, you were entirely right. Though I don't see why that's an argument against seeing it -- most romantic comedies, action movies, and so on have the same plot, you see them for the details. (The correct argument against seeing it would have been that it wasn't very good; however, I'm glad I saw it anyway because I was in the mood for some cheese.)
