Day three. Some evidence of plot starts to appear.
Lord Hong slammed into a floor so totally black it dwarfed the merely starless sky above him. This was the true ancient black, and seemed to suck the heat from his bones. A strangely indeterminate distance away a small oak table held a chessboard between two chairs. Nearby the floor appeared lit, and verging on very dark grey. He struggled to his feet and walked towards the table. In the distance, a few shapeless forms moved through the dark floor, sending ripples of more and less black along it.
