Thoughts - There aughta be a word...
Nov. 25th, 2004 06:01 pmThere should be a word that means "The answer to your question should at this point be obvious." A bit like 'mu' means "That's not the question you should be asking" (very roughly). Though perhaps it could be co-opted in the more general sense of "The answer doesn't really matter, except insofar as that I heard you but didn't one should be a hint."
You could use it in cases like:
> > Hi! I have a problem: I can't email anyone.
> Mu.
Or:
> > Is this your email address?
> Mu.
Or:
> > > Can you think of an english word that starts and ends 'he'?
> > No, that's giving me a headache.
> Mu.
Or:
> > I spend a lot of time worrying that I'm $foo. Do you think I need to?
> Mu.
Why am I bored today? And why am I so against redundant (ie. where the words convey the same message as there being any at all) communication? :)
