CUSFS, Pizza, Magic Draft
Oct. 5th, 2011 01:22 pmSun -- Went to CUSFS, where we (shock) actually talked about science fiction, and also plans to get the library catalogued online (on library thing or on their own web space)[1]. Many good recommendations which I now can't remember. Nice people I've not seen for three months.
Mon -- Pizza. Very fun. Came home and tried to get an early night.
Tue -- Good day at work. Went to Magic Draft. Didn't do nearly as well as last week (when I won) but did fairly well against two very strong players. Several people were very very generous in giving out several of the recently printed common and uncommon cards that I needed to make a standard deck (over time, or by ordering, I'd easily acquire them, but it's useful to have them now). I tried to reciprocate by passing anything useful I didn't need to a couple of casual players who could do with just a wider variety of cards, but it wasn't as much as I'd hoped.
[1] Does anyone have a barcode reader CUSFS could borrow? They're probably going to buy one and/or borrow one from a department, but having more makes it easy to have a GIANT SCANNING AND RESHELVING SESSION.
