jackMaybe we really should institute Cinque Dragownes after all. Ironically, the complete absence of any English magic at all mightn't be a bar to it being useful! :)
(In Susanna Clarke's JS mr N, the Cinque Dragownes was the court devoted to various magical wrongdoing, originally formed by the Raven King, and proposed resurrection by Mr Norrel, not to police the actions of the magicians, of which there were only two, but after someone else indulged in false (and malicious) magic.)
