Oh yes, you're right. I was trying to avoid any of the sorts of paradox that occur when someone knows there's a prediction, but in this case the volunteer only finds out the prediction after they've made the choice, so the prediction can be made modelling the room, the explanation, and the volunteer, but not needing to encompass the result of the prediction itself. So it's not needed.
