Ah, yes, no doubt. I based my description largely on what was funny and slightly on the trailer. I think I meant that the robot takeover proceeded unaffected by any time-travel, the "this isn't the future my mother told me about" line, so apart from John, it's effectively a no-time-travel timeline. (Of course, if John is a big hero solely because of the other time-travel loop, then it's NOT stable by itself.) I think I was wrong about III too.

LOL. No. Certainly not with my natural inclination to explain it all up-front. OTOH, if you use this as a mental model, but mostly depict only what the characters experience, it seems like it would be a systematization of common intuitions, and produce films like Terminator, which as I've said, seem to do it very well :)
