I was planning on making up details like how the type of spell affacts things as I go on, because no-onen in the story really understands it either (they have a sample space of one or maybe two :)). I know that's a horrible bodge, but it's the essense of flux to be uncertain :)
Yep, a vampire bite transmits both flux, and the vampire-making-magic that relies on it, because the flux is obeying the magic whcih says it should do that.
One question: do you have any idea what I should call flux? I basically stole the name from a rather awful fantasy book that used something in some ways similar, so I'd like something else.
