Ah! No, although it's a common-ish trope (and to be fair, most stories that have the moon hit the planet correctly describe it as catastrophic, whether or not they get the details and extent of the siesmology accurate :)), nothing fictional annoyed me, it was just something someone asked (tongue in cheek) at a dinner party, and I had this big rant prepared in my mind that I wanted to let out :)
