It's true, if I was involved in a war, I would normally NOT tell everything to the thirteen-year-olds. But I hope, after the eighth time I said "I'll lie to them for their own good. After all, the chance of my complicated plan going sufficiently wrong that they need to be able to act sensibly in a situation I didn't predict is sufficiently low it doesn't matter" and was wrong, I hope I'd start rethinking... :)
