After finishing borderline, I've a few general thoughts.

I loved reading about Millie and the rest of the characters. And how she handled her illnesses.

The plot as a whole hung together but didn't really stay with me, I forgot who did what.

A few small things bugged me. I don't think they should have done, but:

* How come the government is still letting a bunch of high-strung creatives muddle through this?
* So Millie is death to magic. Can you do that with a steel rod? I don't know how much steel you get in surgery, but why her, why doesn't everyone just carry some steel?
* The whole "exact wording of fey promises" thing. I love that sort of thing. But "not harm you" and "not hurt you" mean the same thing to me at any level of literal-ness, I don't understand how one counts and one doesn't. I sort of understand the rules (basically, keep a very literal interpretation of their word, with a set of special rules for what 'harm' means). But it seems futile to work out what's allowed and what isn't.

But I'm eager to see what happens next, I just got book #2 Phantom Pains.
