I need to talk about programming more. I have so many programmer friends, but don't compare notes experiences etc enough. What topics should I talk about (talking primarily to draw contrasting reactions :))

A few random suggestions: language choice in general; the impact of language choice on security. API design. Tooling choice and how it what/how you write.

Err. I don't know. Work has decided that I should study MSCA C# and MVC and implementable MVC/Angular JS all at the same time, so maybe how one copes with learning two languages and one design pattern in one? Failing the salty commentary, whatever your programme heart desires.
