Review - Men in Tights
Oct. 16th, 2005 07:48 pmDo I like men in tights? That is, do I like "Men in Tights"? I though this was supposed to be a classic comedy but most of it seemed a bit dull and predicatable.
But I'm glad I left it on, because there were some lovely moments in the last two minutes:
Patrick Stewart as Sean Connery as King Richard. Will these men never have appropriate accents? :)
Aforementioned PS/SC snogging Maid Marion at the wedding.
"We can't have a black Sherrif of Rottingham!" "The black sherrif worked in Blazing Saddles!"

Date: 2005-10-17 04:20 pm (UTC)The thing about Men in Tights is that, although it has a few funny bits, it's not nearly as funny as Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves (as my filmography entry for it will show!).
But one of the best things about Men in Tights is that Matthew Poretta is in it (as Will Scarlet). If you don't know, he's the guy who played Robin Hood in The New Adventures of Robin Hood, a fabulous American series with an unnervingly modern (and American) take on the myth :)
