Supposedly, Andrew Knight has submitted a patent application for a storyline. OK, it's a bit out of date, and not as important as, eg. sleaze and rioting, but someone tell me this isn't going to work :)

No... That's the point. This patent _has_ to be accepted. Then someone has to lose an argument over it. Then all the mess of the whole idea of patents will be exposed for what it is, and the whole system will be scrapped.

Are you someone who (or parodying someone who) objects to implementation of the patent system, or the idea of patents themselves?

I try to avoid defending things because they're the status quo, and I recognise some absurdities in the patent system, but there is some sense in rewarding innovation, isn't there?
