I put a holding deposit down on a house today! It's a lovely place, in acrefield drive, just over the river, (between river, elizabeth way and chesterton rd).

All that remains is:

(1) Lots of references to be found and sent in.
(2) Cursing at lots of small and medium admin fees.
(3) What shall we call it?
(4) How shall I celebrate? (I mean now, obviously there'll be a house warming in a month...)

How about 'innominate'?

I've been thinking about it a bit. I think I want something cool and geeky, but not computer or sci-fi geeky, for the benefit of George and Emma. I thought something classical, or at least less obviously sci-fi, and euphonious, might send the right message:

Abulafia
Alexandria
Apocalypse
Chez [some awful pun] (Thank you, Alison, it will NOT be "Chez and Dave")
Mycenae
Lusitania
Trondheim
Vainamoinen

Or Dunsinane. Or Burnam. Could work. Our postcode is: CB4 1JP -- maybe after a famous magistrate? :)

I like it. Or maybe 100 Aker Wood or Wolery, so people have to at least read the book to get it.

Out of your suggestions, I like Mycenae and Alexandria, but feel that Apocalypse might be best, especially if you want it to take on the cool status of, say, Oblivion :)

You could call it Lethe...

Much congratulations, anyway - it sounds perfect and very well-located :)

Thanks.

I knew you would. Lethe is good too. I think Emma and George might not like Apocalypse, despite the buffy-ness.
