Depressing Acronyms

Today I saw the acronym* NTSFW. It's depressing that (1) this acronym common enough to be necessary at all, and (2) I saw instantly that it stood for "Not the same fucking word."

Well, yes. It seemed eloquent to me. Where do you draw the line on nazism? Its and it's? Flaunt and flout? Ie and eg? Reign and rein? Chord and cord? Taut and taunt and taught? Thee and thou? Shinning and shining? And and but? Lend and borrow? Which are nazism, and which are merely a firm government standing against anarchy?
