Since may week I've been successful in keeping my flat in an 'acceptable' state. It's not perfect, but most of the time the surfaces have been empty and wiped, the tables empty, the books on the bookshelves or in boxes, toiletries in cupboards. Which sounds a ridiculously small step, but as many of you know I'm kind of bad at that sort of thing, excepting when I have regular visitors :)
I let it slip a bit this week, but a spot of washing up and tidying last night crammed it into a state I hope mum won't have been embarassed to see :) Though there are some big things I should have done, the nexes[1] of entropy of untidystuff have been pushed back into: (1) piles of books in the spare room (2) piles of post on the small table and (3) my room. I'd like to make my room better, but it's a reasonable compromise, except when people find an excuse to come and talk to me when I'm in it, I hope they didn't mind the mess?
But it is pleasing to have a clean living space.
BTW Mum and I're[1] visiting grandfather for his birthday this weekend, so you won't hear from me until monday.
