A new way to scav book recs

It occurred to me, I may have a new way of scavving book recs.

Me: Does anyone else remember that book? I can't think of the name. It was by the author who wrote all those robot books, it was set on another planet, where the aliens spoke like "grshkvar aghe paqaq", and the woman turned out to be a scientist, and it had [cool concept] and turned out the planet was being slowly destroyed by the virulent [thing]...
Friend #1: Um.
Friend #2: Did it have a geophysist in?
Friend #3: Oh, yeah! Wasn't it by [name]?
Friend #1: No, wait, it wasn't that, it was the [name] series, the third or fourth.
Me: *scribbles notes* Ooh, I think you're right. Thank you! *scurries off to amazon*
