I'm back from Jewish itinerenting in Sweden and from Eastercon. Liv and I met her friends in Sweden, and saw the Rubens exhibition in the national gallery, and she came to the first day or so of Eastercon with me. At Eastercon

- I felt much more relaxed, confident I knew what I wanted to do and not to have to rush round worrying that I was missing something
- Ben Goldacre was very funny (despite a couple of very awkward moments) and several other panels as well, and Mitch Ben very very funny
- I saw speak guests Alastair Reynolds, Liz Williams, Ken MacLeod and Iain Banks, who were all very interesting
- A small but sufficient number of interesting questions were asked
- I bought _no_ books
- I met lots of lovely people
- I generally had an awesome time

Given the utter morass of terms for rooms with toilets in, that are to a greater or lesser extent ambiguous, euphemistic, regional, slangy, crude, or all of the above, and the guarantee that if you accidentally use one that is appropriate for another subgroup it will not be understood, take people aback, or lead them into sarcasm at your expense, is it time to officially condone "defecatorium"?
