Dear Amazon,

I knew you were failing on the "not being evil" stakes, but you were sooooo convenient I kept defaulting to you anyway. But now I'm starting to notice you're sort of failing the convenience stakes too. Now you're inconveniencing ME personally, I may rethink <-- mild irony.

Seriously, you advertise "one click ordering". Literally advertise. I never tried it before, because I ordered rarely enough I wanted to check everything each time. And I didn't want to impulse purchase. Now, I thought "there is a lot of clicking, maybe I'll try one-click. I can always cancel immediately afterwards."

But you know what, the adverts didn't explicitly say one click ordering was free, I just sort of assumed. But it ISN'T. It costs £2.75. So assuming it takes 30 sec to do the clicking, it's only actually worth it if you earn £330 an hour. That's quite a lot!

That is, there's a drop down box which lets you choose the address. But it doesn't let you tell it "always use the cheapest delivery method." So you have to go back and edit the delivery method every time. THAT'S WHY MULTI-CLICK ORDERING WAS SO SLOW IN THE FIRST PLACE, BECAUSE YOU CAN'T JUST CLICK CLICK CLICK, you have to make sure the address and delivery method haven't mysteriously changed since last time!

Love,

CartesianDaemon
