Pass it on -- soon you'll be able to see from your friendslist who has a sense of sarcasm and who doesn't, supposedly.

If you've no idea what I'm talking about, check out my friendslist for mentions of "gay" and "kittens". Essentially, the conversation went like this.

Someone I don't know: Say you're pro-gay-rights! If you don't, you SUCK.
Someone I know: I appreciate the effort, but the implication that I have to agree with you in exactly the same way, in exactly the same medium, or I disagree entirely is offensive. Also, kittens.

Come to think of it, it's another place where being able to '#include' someone else's entry or comment in your journal would be useful: you make any response as a reply, and then anyone who hasn't seen the original but is subcribed to your journal finds it appearing on their friendslist recommended by you, but only once whether many/any people do so or not.

hm, I read it as "we are kittens, and we're stomping", but this makes me think you read it as "we are stomping *on* kittens", which is a much less fluffly image ...

I don't think it makes an awful of a lot of sense either way -- insofar as there was a point, that might have been it. The analogy might be better that way, but I didn't intend it to be very tight in the first place :)

I wrote it that way, but I'm happy with your way -- as I said to miss_next, it doesn't make much sense either way, and I'm happy with that :)
