Do you think I can get a projector so I can watch DVDs in the bath? That would just suit me because "lying still relaxing in a bath" and "watching an English language DVD" are often both activities which take up *half* my concentration.

I might have to get one that can squish an image into hexagonal shape so when projected onto a corner it looks right. And maybe a house with a different shape bathroom. (I don't want to have the projector *in* the room, even sealed up, that's just asking for trouble. But I don't mind if the quality isn't perfect.)

I wouldn't expect the lifespan of a project in such an environment to be very high. Unless you can get some kind of specially sealed version (which would probably be highly expensive!)

Have you thought of wall mounting a flat panel instead? You could water proof that much more easily.

Yes. I think you could do it with one of those laptops that doubles as an OHP projector, and, erm, an OHP. I don't think I know where you work but you could probably get that past some expense departments. Unless you've blogged about it first 8-)

Some houses have a glass window above the door to the bathroom. Perhaps some sort of arrangement of mirrors and lenses could put the projector safely away in another room?
