* I had seen some of it before, but not really in order; as always, watching it coherently it is a lot better.

* I think I commented that the previous seasons almost seemed better when you know what happens, and hypothesised that tragedy works like that; knowing the slide into the abyss is progressing, you can marvel at how it happens, rather than endlessly hope it won't. But this season is climbing *out* of the mire, a successful payoff from the war -- and it seems that to me that thrill only worked once.

* Some aspects were of course good. Cartagia was impressive. G'Kar breaking his chains was over the top, but climactic. It's uplifting when the tide of the battle with earth turns in their favour. And tackling their tactful revolt is really difficult, it's good to see a difficult position well portrayed.

* And right at the end, you see Londo and G'Kar bickering with each other -- but having reached the point where they automatically sit down to drink together to do so.

For me, I think the low point in Season 4 was the "Sheridan Episode". That just hurt.

...which of the many? The one that sprang to my mind was the interrogation. Though maybe also the floating-in-the-afterlife. Both seemed to have great premises, but just be a bit odd.

The interrogation. Somehow, just focusing on Sheridan for an enire episode didn't work for me. Might just be me :)

LOL. well, yes, me too. I think I was still disappointed Sinclair left :) There's no reason it oughtn't to have, episodes feature various characters, and he *is* set up as the main character, (not only as in charge). But it didn't work so well for me[1].

Of course, also, showing psychological torture is exceptionally difficult, it was well done, but still fell short, and concentrating on it for an episode makes it harder and also more of a risk that it might not work out.

[2] Wow, that was in my dictionary. I wonder if I added it myself?
