Thanks again to everyone who gave advice. I'm all packed, I'm off to bed, and I'll be off first thing in the morning.

Top last minute addition to luggage: Bike light. I'm cycling to the bus station, as that's the most reliable method, even though I might prefer to get a taxi back. Also, depending when and in what state I come in, I might want to go to post-pizza on Monday. Either way, I'll need the light then.

Top last minute security question: Is cheddar a liquid? (The cheese, not the county.) I know it's not physically, but is it a problem? Not that it really matters, even if it is, I'll probably just have to eat it or throw it away, it doesn't look very suspicious.

Top last minute thing least desired to be brought to Sweden: Abba CD

Top last minute airport question: Do you actually need e-tickets in addition to boarding pass? I have them, of course, and they show flight details and so on. I probably won't read any replies until I've already gone, of course.

Squee! Wish me a good time.

Have a good time!

Cheddar isn't a liquid, but cheese is often banned at customs on the grounds that you might be bringing in strange new diseases that will upset the fragile balance of the ecosystem. I don't know the rules in Sweden, but when coming into London there are all sorts of posters up warning you of possible prison terms if you bring cheese into the country.

Ah, yes. But I was intending to eat it en route, so that's probably ok.

The whole point about e-tickets is that they did away with paper tickets in order to cut costs. However, the bureaucracies of this world (specifically immigration/visa people) liked paper tickets as evidence of intent. The happy medium? The 100% forgeable itinerary printout!

Ah! OK, now it has a use, however arbitrary, it makes sense. Thanks.

have a fantastic time, from all reports (we send groups to stockholm) it's a beautiful place, and you'll have excellent company to see it with! Take lots of photos! :):)

(airport question: no, boarding pass is enough, but i tend to keep tickets on me anyway)

I had some camembert in my bag coming back from France a couple of years ago. When I opened the bag to take my laptop out at security, I discovered that it was distinctly liquid and had leaked over some of the contents of my bag (and part of my laptop, although not in a damaging way). I threw the worst of it away at security, although not for *security* purposes. The amount that was stuck to my bag/laptop went through :)

I don't think cheddar is a county. It's a town.

Have a good time!

(I see in another comment that you apparently aren't supposed to bring cheese into the country. We've certainly brought French cheese in for years and I never knew that! In my case I had bought it to eat and just not eaten all of it so it wasn't a disaster either way).
