It submits to a php script that (1) dumps the get string into a text file and (2) greps a different text file for "meal:x" and replaced it with x+1 in a regexpy way I've forgotten how it works.

With some work I could make it nicely customizable so anyone could use, and so I could create a new poll by simply picking a unique name, but I can't be bothered for the forseeable future.
