For the benefit of anyone who doesn't want to be surprised if they see me, I've shaved my head again. I decided to try the hair-clippers method of hair cutting, and discovered it seems to do very badly on not-closed-cropped hair, to the extent I had to start from scratch.

It actually looks sort of good, though it looks odd as it grows back. I'll have to decide what length to keep it at. The one good side effect is it's very stokable a few days after; I keep touching it and then automatically meaowing :)

I thought that was usually a property of fires?

I always stroke my newly-shaven hair (i do the very back on 'shave' setting without a guard, to stop it from going all minging when it grows). yay hair clippers yay. (And there was me, not posting a sarcastic comment when people ask on [livejournal.com profile] cantabrigiensis about haircuts for under £20.. I've had three now, for £17 :-))

Yes, I was biting back too. OTOH, I sucked at getting any haircut but 'shorn', so paying someone could be worth it...

Shouldn't you have cut that post on the grounds that it contains spoilers? :)

But for what? How could I say 'spoilers for something drastic happening to my head' wihtout (1) people guessing and (2) mum thinking I'd been in a car accident. If I just said 'spoilers', people'd think "I know what soylent green is" and read it anyway :)

Would you rather not have known? In a few days it'll look like military instead of BNP :)
