Hang on. I know [livejournal.com profile] frithonthehills had a photo with Philippa Forrester for the same reason. Must've been a different year. Gotta love the smallworldness.

Most of the stuff (games/stories) I've actually completed is rather old now (and lost in the Mists of Time) but hopefully when life calms down a bit I can finish some of the things I'm working on.

I think Philippa Forrester was the year after, when my school also won it (though I may be muddled, and she may have presented multiple years). *thinks* He's not Eric Rees, is he?

Never heard of him. Perhaps he won it a different year, or perhaps he was two years below me at school and so I didn't know his name :)

He's in our year but I don't know when he was in it or whether he was runner up or something. Twas definitely the Chem Olympiad tho'. Someone at my school did it too but she didn't get very far; I hadn't heard of the Informatics or Physics olympiads back then or I would have been keen to try them, though I doubt I'd have got any further than I did with the Maths one. I'm no TBL..

I'm very confused by all the different competitions, but I think the chemistry olympiad might be something entirely separate from the top of the bench thing, that would explain it...

Ah indeed it would. Goddamn multiple competitions for clever kids eh?

"And I would have gotten away with it too, if it wasn't for you meddling multiple competitions for clever kids!" :)
