SNOW!

Edit: apparently there isn't any any more.

There was snow. I walked to work in it. Now it's all gone, and I am at work with no bicycle and will have to walk home.

Boo to the fickle snow!

Well, it hadn't gone enough an hour ago that when I walked along reading a book I wasn't in danger of slipping up and being assaulted on the behind by a freezing pavement :)

I agree it will soon. But it's been teasing us for ages, so maybe now it's finally ejected all the white stuff it'll settle down and be constant for a bit.

You walked along reading a book in the snow? You walked along reading a book? I don't think my concentration could cope with that :)

Hairy Matthew does it all the time too. Aren't women supposed to be the multitasking gender? I mean, it's *walking*, it's about as automatic an activity as you can get.

I've even seen a girl doing it on an Underground station, but I thought that was taking her life in her hands too much.

I can just about walk along reading a book if I know the route well and hence can use autopilot, and I don't have a sense of balance so walking's really quite hard for me. (I did it quite regularly at school; I don't do it at the moment because all the routes I use cross roads at some point and I will calmly walk out in front of cars when doing this.)

I can, just about, get my sense of self preservation to flag an interrupt of higher priority than reading when approaching traffic lights.

Though if I suddenly disappear from spod one day you'll know what's happened.

Begone, evil snow!

Why is everyone infatuated with snow?

It's March, for goodness's sake, and I want to see daffodils and tulips and birds and willow shoots and not have to worry about bringing an umbrella every time I go out. Snow is nice, but spring is better!

Also, I'm less likely to catch a cold :)
