Well, not necessarily, it was just my first thought.

What you *could* do is join forces, for if anythign like pikes, one is quite risky -- one horseman roudn the side and *ksssh[1]*, but a few can keep something big at bay, and go kung fu on hordes of ninjas' asses as well!
