I'm supposed to be in London for a housewarming this weekend or next weekend. I might be available for meeting in a coffee shop before that if any of my london friends want?

I went outside to think about ui (and fic) at lunchtime. The weather which is warm, and raining not too hard I simply love (though not all the time please, lets have plenty of sun too). For ages I've wanted to encapsulate that feeling in a poem, but have never been able to.

This afternoon I sorted out a few forms that had been hanging around. Being owned by a big company makes some things complicated. I have more different account names and passwords for broadcom things that is good for me, but I think I've got everything that needs to be sorted sorted. And I felt very much happier afterwards.

I spent ages on Recursive Herbology last night. I didn't finish it, but I finished everything I had written, and just need to add the last chapter. I quite like it. The chapters are longer and hence less abrupt than the other stories. I had some new ideas that fitted in well. And I've done my best to root out any unnescessarily convoluted
sentences. And I've added some footnotes, which are very me and also very Terry :)

But I was typing some emails in word at the same time, and discovered something insidious: "teh" is changed automatically to "the". Which used to be great for a ten left fingered guy like me, but now I actually *want* to type 'teh' and have to decide in whcih direction the error worse :)

Either this sunday or next saturday lunchtime, but I won't know until I hear from my friend. Are you up for lunch?

Not the Saturday, unless you can be in Sutton 11-12, but definitely this Sunday.

LOL. Probably not Sutton. But I'll see what I can do for this weekend :)

Apostrophe, St Christopher's Place for about 1230?

I'm afraid I don't know london at all, where is that? The plan will be something like that, but I'll have to confirm tomorrow because it unfortunately depends on what my friend does with his housewarming.

OK.

Bond St Tube is the nearest. As you come out, go for the North Side of Oxford St, go past the disney shop, through the guinnel way by the O2 shop, marked 'St Christopher's Place'. Apostrophe is at the end of the guinnel. (My church is just round the corner, hence suggesting it).

You're still coming punting?

Thanks. I've just looked it up on google maps, and spent five minutes squeeing at the pretty nearly-3d-ness ;)

I also squeed to see someone else using 'ginnel' :) I plan to come punting, is the plan still the same?

yup.

guinnel is a good word. I'm from yorkshire, and we have snickelways and ginnels!

That told me you're from yorkshire, though I hadn't known before. I'm 1/4 yorkshire, but the blood is less recessive than that from other counties :)

Mum's indocrinated me with a smattering of the words, but I get so many blank looks I rarely use any of them :)

awwww.

I also use 'thee' quite naturally.

It took me long enough to use 'who' and 'whom' naturally, I'm still working on 'thou' and 'thee' :)

Justin and Tim did always accuse me of making up words[1] when I said perfectly natural things like "snicket" and "muck-a-muck" and "with a following wind" and "idempotent" :)

[1] And then hacking into the matrix and changing it so that when they later looked them up in the dictionary they were there.
