The new orange advert: You must see it. It has Darth Vader in, though unfortunately he doesn't force-choke that annoying orange twat.
Starwars trailer: It looked pretty good, though obviously will still contain its share of annoying bits.
Cliche: OK, this film was called something else, but I can't remember what. A lot of fighter pilots parade get on each other's nerves until they become friends when the girl wears a bikini. A new completely automated fighter is introduced which they're afraid will replace them. It was struck by lightning and comes alive (not really) and is fused into "destroy major american cities" mode (yes really).
HHGTTG was very good. It wasn't perfect, so I had a nagging unsatisfaction, but I did enjoy it very much. I liked all of the characters, though some seemed a bit off -- Zaphod seemed meaner and a lot stupider. I liked most of the changes to the plot, they seemed to streamline and clarify it appropriately. Some additions were very funny. But I don't know what was in Adams's screenplay and what was added by someone else. Some of the humour seemed a little heavy-handed and predictable (not just when I knew what was going to happen because it was in the book) which I don't know if it's a flaw in the film, or if I just don't like Adams as much as I did before.
