It sounds like a joke, but apparently cambridgeshire isn't immune from non-intuitive weather. I never knew we actually got tornados[1].

[1] I think tornado covers it, I don't know the technical definition. It was a great big tower of wind orbiting a low pressure area and looking like it touched the ground.

Tornados are fairly common events, even in England. Patrick Moore nearly lost a telescope to one a few years ago.
