When I started an LJ (about 10 years ago), I told myself I would only post things I thought people would actually want to read, and not just blog whatever came into my head. I think that fell by the wayside embarrassingly soon.

I think your new policy is the right one!

Yup - no reason why a personal blog has to be about one thing.

I'm with the crowd here; the new policy is the better one. Plus, I'd be hypocritical to say otherwise.

And why not, indeed? No Jacks should be embarrassed by this.

I love the multi-purposeness of a personal blog. Other people can read a post or not, as they wish (I occasionally look at one of your posts as it goes whoosh overhead, rather than attempting to read).

Besides, one can't even be sure which bloggings will be of interest to others.
