jackROFL! Behind the "I'm sorry the princess is in another castle" sign or under the "The true treasure is friendship" sign is a perfect place to hide something you don't want to be found.
I knew that, and I totally didn't see it coming (although I suppose I would have done if I'd stopped to think "does this storyline need more wandering around pointlessly in the desert").
On the other hand, since the disguise seemed to work well so far, maybe NOT destroying it would have been a better plan, just staying on the spot ready to kill any enemies who came there. I guess if Xykon is coming, they may expect him not to be fooled.
