I'm about to go to Montreal for two weeks. We'll probably also manage a 2-3 day trip to see a bit of Toronto and Niagara Falls.

We have friendly local guides from this side of the Atlantic, so we expect to be well supplied with suggestions of things to see and places to eat. And well supplied with tea :)

But are there any suggestions for other things we should see in Montreal (and Toronto)? Even the "top five famous things" -- I should know that, but haven't really got around to googling it yet :)

It's frustrating that you are going to be much nearer to me than you normally are but still too far away to visit. Anyways I hope you have a great trip.

We had really good Greek food in Toronto. There's some big house thing with a nice garden. The gardens are free to visit, so if you're passing and don't have a lot of time.... The provincial museums were excellent in every case, well worth the visit. There are a shocking number of things that come with doughnuts but which probably shouldn't... less so in BC than on the east side of the country.
