Wow, apparently I can cook. My pasta bake received some unsolicited praise. If I host dinner parties more often I'll have to learn to cook a second dish though :)

There was much geeking, of the science, plot, minsci and grammar types. It has been decided that someone will write slash:

Edith/Jack again, hopefully all the better for having been practiced before.
Treebeard/Legolas
Treebeard/Nick's nose
Naath/Chess
Gimli/Watcher (Or possibly Watcher/Gimli. Gimli gets to be a woman because this is cross-species. Besides, maybe the watcher is female as well.)

Choice quotes from Nick: "Do something slashy now!" and "I'm bored of GCSEs. Let's go back to talking about anal sex."

Who wants to be invited to the next one?

What a good idea. I like when people make food... I don't have to decide about it.

You don't know how close I was to posting a poll on LJ asking what side-dish to serve :) (In the end salad and french stick were easiest.)
