I read your theology posts with interest, but they're sort of orthogonal to my own theological concerns a lot of the time, so I often don't have much to say. I have a lot more certainty than you about what I believe God wants of me, and so spend more of my theological time asking why God wants those particular things.
To judge by the can of worms I inadvertently opened a few hours ago, you innocently ask "is it OK to use a pancake for communion?".
More seriously, ask questions. I got few replies to all my ramblings back in the autumn, but that's fair enough: I was getting a whole bunch of stuff straight in my own head and felt others might be interested in watching the cogs move. The posts where I actually ask something do get responses.

Yeah, that's the same sort of question, one everyone assumes they have something to say on...
I know my answer (anything's fine for communion as long as it's respectful and in the spirit of the occasion), but I also know many people and denominations have a reason for sticking to a more precise restriction on what to use *shrug*.
OK. Strictly speaking, they were talking about things of-more-than-one-child and said something which sounded like "childs". I took it as an error of pluralisation, but I guess it could alternatively have been an error of number. It certainly wasn't correct!
Oh, sorry, got you, I assumed "child's" might be grammatical but of course it isn't. I go sort of plural-blind looking at "children" it has nearly three plural suffices already and I forgot they weren't all already there in this case :)

Date: 2015-02-17 11:15 pm (UTC)Yes, I gritted my teeth at the bogus pluralisation. Just as I did when I heard " childs' " on Radio 4 the other day.
