Supernatural

Tumblr says that any part of my life spent not watching Supernatural is wasted. And I have to admit, it sounds like my sort of show. But I'm not sure I want to watch eleven seasons of anything. Is there a sensible subset which is worth watching by itself?

On rereading, that is less by way of a useful answer than it was in my head, so for something more focused; I do not think there is any particularly worthwhile subset of the first three seasons for any more engagement beyond moving wallpaper. And I fear from the way it builds its mythos that if at some later point it becomes more worth having, much of that will depend on familiarity with the earlier not-as-good stuff.
