Wordcount: did writing yesterday, still about one day behind target.

Sentence: She took one of the sheets back to the bedroom and moved the older vampire's corpse onto it, to keep the bloodstains as much off the floor as she could.

Today, going to gym, then home. I got some writing done here and there so I can hopefully relax this evening and watch some tv instead of trying to get things done. Although there is, as always, *some* things I want to get done.

Almost half way through November, eek! I think I'm a bit over half way in my story, despite only doing 1000 a day, but it's clearly become a novella rather than a short story, which I hadn't known from the start. I'd thought of having several stories, but it looks like that won't happen. At least I have an end for my story in mind :)

I looked at "Novellas" online and google says "Animal Farm" and "Of Mice and Men". I don't have that amount of depth in my story! I'm not sure if I should work on cramming more "experience" into my stories (i.e. building the same characters, same emotions, but managing many major changes throughout the story without seeming abrupt), or accept that I usually write different sorts of stories.

I hope I will at least manage to do a second draft. I've quite a lot of changes I already want to make, but even if I only do the basics I think it will be an improvement. Not typo fixing, though I'll do that too if I can, but putting the worldbuilding that came along as I wrote back into the first half, so the characters aren't weirdly vague about whether a vampire is "new" or how many vampires serve the local mistress.

How do you indicate smilies if you don't want to write a smilie?
