My bike back wheel finally reliably unpunctured, I seem to have something'd the front.

I think I am living in a sitcom. The bike is because the writer has an awkward sense of humour. This weekend was some sort of bumper christmas omnibus, considering the sheer amount of partying gone to.

Specifically the front wheel appears to intersect the crossbar. I'm not sure if the fork is bent back (??), or the wheel/handlbar conglomoration raised an inch (??). Which seems more likely?

If I acquire a larger spanner, is this likely to be reconfigurable?

The bike is at home at ambiguity, inconveniently far from bike shops.

Alternatively I can decide the bike was irretrievably damaged at some point, get a new one, and keep this as a spare for when the other punctures, or sell it to someone good at repair. I've fixed this thing so often I'm not sure if it's still economical in money or time (though time is so far well spent insofar as I have learned about bike repair).

Arrrr.

If you haven't bent the forks, it's possible that you've bent the frame.
On the one occasion I've managed it, there was a little crease at the top of
the down tube to tell me what I'd done.

Incidentally, I've got a pair a not-very-good 700C forks kicking around
here if you (or anyone else really) need them.

Thank you very much! I think it is time to cut my losses.
