I have a double bed. It's left over from having been married. I keep intending to replace it with a single one, but have been having trouble finding anything suitable that didn't cost the earth.

martinoh says that's pessimism... but, honestly, I wouldn't inflict it on a new husband. Not after the first husband broke all the springs on his side of it!

Not really. I don't move around a lot in my sleep, so I'm quite happy with a single, and I'd rather have the extra floor space, to be honest.
