NTL -- or someone claiming to be NTL -- rang my mobile and asked if I wanted a phone line. Somehow this seems odd behavior.

That could make sense, they could be asking you to switch. Though of course, I do have an internet with them already, so would likely have their dog[1] if I had any.

NTL rang me up (twice, once by mistake) because I partially filled in an application for an NTL connection and then stopped when I got to the Terms and Conditions.
