The LJ tends to do three things. (1) Record what I've done. Basically a diary, it's actually quite convenient to have that, though I never kept a diary before. (2) Be interesting reading. I try. (3) Rant. I try not to do this, except insofar (2), but still do.

So, a brief trip into the weekend, with Herr Doktor Professor Vickeridge[1] ensues. I did a lot of things, though with little to say about anything.

* Thursday I had a night in. And found several books I forgot I bought and read some of them.

* Friday, I went to Pippa's party with strawberry wine, kinky classicists, hugging, good conversation, beautiful people, and my bear.

* Also on friday, I went to KRRR's house party, spread the Jonathon Strange love, and drank mulled wine.

* On saturday I went to london to see Justin, and to see Angel, and to watch Narnia (review pending). There was also a wonderful all-you-can-eat vegan restaurant, that made some of the best food I've eaten out anywhere.

* There were lots of transport issues. The bike puncture-died on mill road, and was left at Ida Cottage until sunday. The bus to the station took an hour, and missed the train by thirty sec, and I had been hung over, so was in london a bit late in the afternoon. The trains were busy but otherwise fine. On coming back, there was a blessed Citi 1 pulling up right outside.

* Which was great until of a gang of 15 year olds on the back seat who were taking the piss, one had only paid half way and messed about wondering whether to pay more or get off, the driver got fed up and ordered him off, he refused, the driver threatened and then called the police. We waited 15 min on mil road, then the driver gave up and drove on. I might try to write this out in more detail just in case something comes of it.

* On sunday, I missed Dave's Carlton, went to Ida Cottage where I was force fed tea and mince pies, and fixed my bike.

* I met Tom H. and Justin and friend for juice.

* I stopped at [livejournal.com profile] numberland's to hug her, help wash up, and be given a calender-shaped christmas present. (Pretty pictures. Squee!)

* I went to [livejournal.com profile] sonicdrift's Crime Traveller night, had nice vegetable[2] meal, and very very nice christmas pudding (thanks, sonic and [livejournal.com profile] emperor), argued about physics a lot, and was given a book shaped christmas present

[1] Cookie and massage to anyone who gets the reference.
[2] Literally. I mean, bar mushrooms and grains, most food is, but this was obviously so, but this was very well done, and she had no call to feel guilty for the sweetcorn at all.
