I finished Prince of Persia (Sands of Time) -- I enjoyed it much and will review in a bit. I may start something else this weekend, that will be fun.
And speaking of writing, what would it be like to live in a matrix deliberately, or at least mostly under control? I realise it's a lot harder to do -- what's the point? What would people do?
