jackTuesday was Tolkien. A couple of extra people turned up again, and we talked about C. S. Lewis and the inklings.
Friday I went to GD for the first time in ages with![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
sonicdrift, atreic (*hugs* Yay, IVFDF!) and ilanin. I was very rusty, and a bit unsteady with the waltz, and didn't try anything complicated, but could still waltz and cha and quickstep and tango and rumba, and it was good fun.

stephdiary, cjwatson, ghoti and ewx for walking in Gamlingayshire[1]. mobbsy phoned us just in time as we were entering the A14 and we U-turned on the rounderbout and picked him up while the other car was collecting maps from Owen's.
We had a short walk round the wood -- I miss woods! -- and into Gamlingay for a picnic on their little triangular green, before going back along little lanes to the cabbage fields drive where we left the cars. It was a nice day, and I'm glad mum got the chance to meet some of my friends.
After that we went back to the Carlton, and mum and I went home for dinner, family time, and Firefly.
When mum went to bed I went on topseudomonas's party for a bit, which was great; I seemed to be switched on for some reason, despite having been tired before I left. It was nice to see him, and tell maths jokes with people, and meet sunflowerinrain and livredor and people I'd seen on lj but never met.
Today mum and I got another bookcase, and went to Byron's Pool and Grantchester The Orchard.
