Thoughts - Characterisation sucks

Writing is fun. Rearranging it so it's in a logical order, and making sure every fact and facet you want is shown in the right place, can get tedious.

And then I run out one paragraph before the end. It's long enough, I just need a warm-down. I should be able to just throw Vimes and $main_character into a room together and let them talk it out, but it requires Vimes not to recognise him. Whoops. Maybe I can just cull something amusing from elsewhere in the story and blit it to the end.

I think I've fixed it. I threw together two *other* pairs, and it seems to work. Unfortunately the ending is a bit sappy, but I can't think of anything better.

I think it'll get to the point where there's nothing I can add tonight. I'll share it with you then in case your computer is still playing nice.
