My flat tidy. My bills are paid up to date. My emails are answered. I've half an hour to do some reading before tomorrow.

Tomorrow we're having a verilog course at work. It's not something I'd ever intended to learn, but it promises to be interesting. It's rather intensive for three days, and a regular 9-6 thing, so I'm going to bed early.

The letting agents visited on friday when I was out to check I hadn't stolen the walls. It was very strange to have someone there when I'm not, but they left a little note saying "Thanks" and it was ok. And last weekend Justin visited for a few days and yesterday Sunflower did, and I never felt crowded by having someone there. So maybe sharing isn't so bad.

I should thank you too, sweetheart, as you had introduced me to Jack. I think it was with the words "He gives the best cuddles".

Still much the same as at [livejournal.com profile] pseudomonas' party.
Interesting, intelligent, witty, amusing, a bit shy, and a very good cuddler. Now added - and excellent company.

I like your library too :)

Aww! Thank you, that's the sweetest description I've ever had. *cuddles* I'm also glad you saw shy, I am, but I overcompensate :)

I like your library too :)

Please don't :) I like every author you mention, but as I say, my physical bookshelf is at least 50% unrepresentative of what I read... :)

In Angela's Ashes (or at least the film version, I can't remember ATM whether it's also in the book) they chop down a wall in their rented house and burn it because it's cold - if you're a landlord you can't be too careful...

I might in theory have not been being sarcastic! Though not :)

It *is* in the book - I've just read it. Haven't seen the film (should that be fillum), though.

It's interesting so far. And I'm not just saying that because the instructor is here behind me as we spod during the coffee break :)

I think I'm permanently damaged w.r.t. Verilog. Part IB will do that to a soul :)

LOL. Fair enough. I don't know what it would be like to actually use it for anything, and am not especially optimistic, but (a) learning what it is (b) nostalgically thinking about low level hardware with resistors and gates and transistors and (c) making the parts of my life involving understanding scads or verilog written by someone else a lot easier! are all fun.

What did they have you doing? I didn't realise it would have come up much.

we had a full course on verilog and another on ARM assembler IIRC. the final practical involved writing a mouse driver in both. Lots of traffic lights and stuff, too.
